Welcome to Blossom Press
"A love affair with things botanical" is the best way to describe or explain the reasons for this website. However, along with my passion for flowers and such, I also love ramblings and musings about the nature of the Universe, how things work, why we’re here, etc. I’ve spent a good deal of time pondering those questions and much of that time has been spent in the out of doors – in God’s natural gardens and in human-devised gardens. I have observed how nature works, what flowers do (or don't do), and the glory that is in nature.
As a Colorado native, living in the foothills of the great Rocky Mountains, I come from a long line of women who were avid, splendid gardeners. The passion lives on as my siblings and I continue to create gardens wherever we go. These pages are my story and my relationship with our botanical friends. I have a passion for flowers, trees, herbs, vegetables, fruits...anything botanical. Not only are we sustained by the flora surrounding us, they make the world a beautiful and worthwhile place to live. Blossom Press is my exploration of the world of botany in images and words.
These pages are also my story or stories and my thoughts on the way things are which have been heavily influenced by my attention to nature. I believe that we can learn a lot from watching how the natural world works. I also believe that nature can be curative and restorative to our mind and spirit.
Please come play in my garden. Share my love of things botanical, philosophical, and spiritual. If you do not have real flowers to view, enjoy the ones here. Please feel free to comment on my postings. I welcome our interaction.
